Dr. Daniel T. Roy leads Tempus Arte into the future

New CEO develops strategic market perspectives for the Munich-based watch group in line with the vision of founder and owner Prof. Dr. Ulrich L. Rohde.

Dr. Daniel T. Roy has been the new CEO of the Tempus Arte Group in Munich since mid-2025. He has thus assumed responsibility for the strategic positioning and long-term orientation of the company, which includes the manufacturers Lang & Heyne and Uhren-Werke-Dresden, as well as STOWA and Munich Watch Design. As part of this realignment at the top of Tempus Arte, Alexander Gutierrez Diaz is taking on a new role within the management team. In the future, he will focus on brand development and international growth.

“We are seeing far-reaching changes in the market and a strong differentiation in customer preferences. With Dr. Daniel T. Roy at the helm of Tempus Arte, we have gained an internationally experienced executive. His expertise, particularly in the areas of sustainable corporate development, manufacturing operations, and digitalization, will contribute significantly to the future viability of our company,” says Prof. Dr. Ulrich L. Rohde, founder and owner of the Munich Watch Group, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

Dr. Daniel T. Roy sees his new role as an exciting opportunity that he intends to develop based on the proven qualities of the company. “The brands and manufacturers of the Tempus Arte Group stand for German watchmaking, technical excellence, and entrepreneurial strength. Together with the team, I want to shape the next chapters of this success story.”

The combination of high-quality technology and distinctive creativity is a promising foundation on which to further strengthen Tempus Arte’s already high reputation. The CEO has his sights set on a particularly demanding market: “Whether it’s watches for sports or aviation, or stylish accessories for business and society – with our unique combination of Tempus and Arte, we already serve a diverse, individualized circle of watch wearers. Our goal is to build on this potential to increase the appeal of the brands and further expand the group’s global market presence.”
