Driven by a strategic vision and a personal passion for timepieces – that’s the core of our company. Both are embodied by entrepreneur and scientist Prof. Dr. Ulrich L. Rohde. He became interested in timekeeping at a young age – in an environment that perceived time as both a value and a tool. As early as the 1930s, the family-owned company Rohde & Schwarz developed one of the first industrially manufactured time measurement systems, the CFQ quartz clock. These early technical pioneering achievements, such as the first portable standard time system, continue to shape the Tempus Arte Group’s self-conception to this day.
